Job Title/Role: Senior Data Engineer

Location: India (Remote)

Shift Timing (Including time zone): 2 PM – 11 PM IST

Experience Range: 7+ years

Minimum Qualifications:

· 7+ years’ experience in a predictive and decision support analytics function

· 7+ years quantitative analysis experience

· 3+ years of advanced analytics development experience

· Strong foundation in statistics

· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, or related field

Must Have Skills:

Technical Skills

· General architecture

Familiar with large-scale analytical systems

Understanding of designing workflow/process-based systems

Experience solutioning Cloud based enterprise data architectures

· Information architecture

o Data Modeling principles for relational and dimensional data structures

o Data Warehouse design principles (e.g. Kimball, Inmon)

o Data Lake design principles

o Hybrid enterprise data architecture

o Expertise using various open source or dedicated analytics tools – Matlab, R, Python, Scala

· SQL Server core database engine (SQL, T-SQL code development)

· Microsoft Azure

o Azure Advanced Analytics

o Azure PaaS

o Azure Data Services

· Cosmos db

Key Responsibilities:

· Architect, develop, and deploy robust, scalable data solutions using Azure Synapse, Databricks, Fabric, Data Factory, and related tools.

· Design and optimize ETL/ELT data pipelines with Python, PySpark, and SQL for structured and unstructured data.

· Build modern data architectures: data lakes, warehouses, lakehouses, and streaming platforms.

· Implement and automate data ingestion, transformation, modeling, and validation within Azure and Databricks.

· Lead end-to-end Power BI or Fabric analytics solutions, including semantic modeling, DAX, and data visualization.

· Advice on data modernization, governance (Purview, Entra ID), and security best practices aligned with Microsoft frameworks.

· Partner with clients and project teams, translate business requirements into actionable architectures, and communicate technical plans to stakeholders.

· Mentor peers and guide teams on best practices, technical standards, and continuous learning in the Microsoft/Databricks ecosystem.

· Author high-quality project, design, and technical documentation as well as support pre-sales and business development activities as needed.

Role Summary:

As a Senior Data Engineering Consultant, you will architect, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines, data lakes, warehouses, and analytics platforms in the Microsoft ecosystem. Collaborate directly with clients to drive successful data modernization and advanced analytics projects while mentoring teams and sharing best practices.

Education Qualifications:

Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (Master’s preferred).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹505,518.19 - ₹1,851,260.55 per year
