Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a B1 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The B1 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability, and airworthiness of aircraft. This role involves performing, supervising, and certifying both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, troubleshooting, and component replacements. All work must be carried out in strict compliance with CAR-145 regulations, as well as company procedures and manufacturer standards and manuals, ensuring the highest levels of safety, quality, and serviceability in accordance with current maintenance manuals and technical instructions.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Aircraft Maintenance with comprehensive knowledge of aircraft systems.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues related to aircraft.
• Strong understanding of airworthiness regulations and standards (CAR-145, manufacturer manuals, and civil aviation authority requirements).
• Relevant certifications and qualifications in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering.
• Perform and certify scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections of aircraft and components.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to identify potential defects or wear.
• Verify that all parts and components installed are properly certified and in working condition.
• Sign Certificates of Release to Service (CRS) within B1 authorization scope.
• Maintain accurate technical records, certification, and maintenance documentation.
• Provide logistical support and undertake projects related to aircraft maintenance.
• Analyse and interpret technical information, engineering manuals, and diagrams.
• Ensure facilities, premises, and equipment are maintained to standard.
• Confirm defects are accurately identified and recorded by crews.
• Collaborate with other departments to complete project work efficiently.
• Participate in initial and recurrent training to maintain technical competence.
• Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Willing to travel within the UAE and internationally as required.

Requirements

• Valid GCAA Aircraft Maintenance Licence (AML) – Category B1 – mandatory.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering – preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years of certifying experience
• Possess at least one type rating for one of the following aircraft: A330, A320, B737, B777, B787.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft mechanical, hydraulic, and powerplant systems, components, MEL, and independent checks.
• EASA or FAA A&P Licence – an advantage.
