B1 Mechanical Technician Senior

Job Description:

The B1 Mechanical Technician Senior will be responsible to ensure optimal service support for
maintenance and flight line activities to achieve the excellent fleet availability with the highest
quality and safety standards. The B1 Mechanical Technician Senior will also be responsible to
perform detailed inspection, assembly, installation, repair or replacement of aircraft components
and systems, maintenance (both scheduled and unscheduled) or refurbishing of aircraft and
function check of components. The B1 Mechanical Technician Senior will perform OJT on location
as required. The B1 Mechanical Technician Senior may also be responsible to support the MRO
department.

List of Responsibilities:

• Determine and perform maintenance requirements for parts, clearances, tolerance, fuel and

hydraulic leaks and corrosion damage

• Interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints and technical publication
• Determine repair procedures necessary to correct defective equipment
• Solve maintenance problems, achieves proper operating deficiency of components such as rotor

heads, landing gear, rotor blades, transmission including controls and rigging

• Diagnose reoccurring malfunctions and recommend corrective action by initiation or material

deficiency reports

• Perform repair of components
• Ensure that all work performed is recorded on the appropriate paperwork and signed for on a

progressive basis required by AHA Management System

• Ensure the correct use and control of aircraft parts and materials
• Verify that the aircraft status regarding scheduled tasks and deferred items is updated, the aircraft

condition is serviceable and in accordance with applicable AHA Management System to perform
the Release to Service of the aircraft

• Perform duties as assigned by the Site Manager, ensuring that all work is completed in a timely

fashion and meets the delivery quality requirements of the AHA Management System

• Evaluate performance of assigned customer’s personnel as required
• Conduct on-the-job training activity
• Train personnel on the use of maintenance manuals
• Train personnel in all safety directives and FOD procedures
• Supervise and train junior aircraft technicians
• Perform other duties as assigned
