Key Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Sales Generation & Revenue Growth
- Conduct daily outbound sales calls to existing customers and prospective retailers, traders, and bulk buyers.
- Promote company products, offers, seasonal promotions, schemes, and newly launched items.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to increase average order value.
- Achieve and exceed assigned daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets and performance KPIs.
- Convert inquiries and leads into confirmed sales orders through persuasive communication and needs-based selling techniques.
- Maintain an active pipeline of prospects and follow-ups to ensure consistent revenue flow.
- Support outdoor sales team by managing assigned customer accounts and follow-ups.
2. Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with retailers, supermarkets, groceries, restaurants, catering companies, and wholesale traders.
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customers for pricing, availability, promotions, and delivery updates.
- Resolve customer complaints, disputes, and service issues promptly and professionally to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with inactive or low-volume customers to revive business.
- Maintain accurate customer profiles including contact details, credit limits, payment terms, and buying patterns.
- Ensure professional, courteous, and customer-focused communication at all times.
3. Product Knowledge & Market Intelligence
- Maintain strong knowledge of product specifications, packaging sizes, shelf life, pricing tiers, promotional offers, and stock availability.
- Educate customers on product features, benefits, usage, storage requirements, and profit margins.
- Monitor competitor pricing, promotions, new product launches, and market trends.
- Collect and report customer feedback, market insights, and competitor intelligence to management to support business strategy and product planning
4. Reporting & Performance Management
- Prepare and submit daily call reports, sales performance reports, customer interaction summaries, and pipeline updates.
- Track KPIs including call volumes, order conversion ratios, average order value, customer retention rates, and monthly revenue achievements.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer communications, and follow-up commitments in CRM systems.
- Participate in sales meetings, performance reviews, and training programs to continuously improve sales effectiveness.
5. Teamwork & Internal Coordination
- Work collaboratively with outdoor sales executives, warehouse supervisors, logistics teams, accounts departments, and customer service staff.
- Assist in onboarding new customers and training junior sales staff when required.
- Support management in executing marketing campaigns, product launches, and promotional drives.
- Participate in sales strategy discussions and contribute ideas to improve business performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Daily outbound call volume and meaningful customer interactions.
- Monthly sales revenue and gross margin achievement.
- Customer acquisition and retention rates.
- Order accuracy and processing turnaround time.
- Reduction in overdue receivables within assigned accounts.
- Customer satisfaction and complaint resolution turnaround time.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
- bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, sales, or related discipline preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in tele sales, inside sales, or customer service within wholesale trading, FMCG distribution, retail supply chain, or B2B sales environments.
- Experience handling retailer accounts, bulk buyers, and institutional customers is highly preferred.
