Schedule: Please note that we’re seeking caregivers who are available for at least three weekdays, with availability falling somewhere between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM for 8–10 hour shifts (for example, 7 AM–5 PM or 8 AM–6 PM).

About the Role

TLC Family Care is hiring dependable and nurturing babysitters and childcare providers to support families in their homes in Henrico, VA. Senior care experience is a plus but not required.

For over 40 years, TLC Family Care has connected families with reliable caregivers. Our team manages scheduling and family matching so caregivers can focus on providing attentive and professional care.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, in-home care for children of various ages
• Plan and lead age-appropriate activities
• Assist with meals, snacks, naps, and daily routines
• Maintain clear and professional communication with parents or guardians
• Occasionally provide companionship or basic assistance to seniors, if comfortable

Required Qualifications

• At least 1 year of childcare or caregiving experience (nannying, babysitting, daycare, or similar roles)
• Two professional childcare references
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Availability for at least 3 months
• Availability for at least 3 weekdays between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM for 8–10 hour shifts

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience caring for multiple children
• Experience providing senior companionship or basic adult care
• Flexible weekday availability

Pay and Benefits

• Weekly pay via direct deposit
• Pay rates based on number of children:
• $18 per hour for 1–2 children
• $19 per hour for 3 children
• $20 per hour for 4 children
• Paid Time Off: Earn 1 hour of PTO for every 30 hours worked

Work Environment

Care is provided in private family homes throughout the Henrico area. Assignments may be scheduled in advance. Caregivers are expected to maintain professionalism and follow all family and company guidelines.
