Babysitter/Caregiver

We are seeking a responsible, energetic, and caring babysitter for our two children (5-year-old and 20-month-old) for a summer position. The ideal candidate will provide a safe, nurturing environment while engaging our children in age-appropriate activities.

Duration

• Start date: June 8, 2026
• End date: August 14, 2026
• Two months of summer care

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive care for both children, addressing their different needs
• Serve meals and snacks for the 5-year-old; assist with feeding for the 20-month old - We will prepare the meals
• Change diapers and assist with potty as needed
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities for the 5-year-old
• Facilitate nap times on a routine schedule
• Maintain a safe environment at all times
• Light housekeeping related to childcare (cleaning up toys, washing bottles, etc.)
• Communicate effectively about the children's daily activities and any concerns

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience caring for young children, including toddlers
• Reliable transportation - although all care will take place on our 75 acre property so you will not need to drive the kids anywhere
• Excellent references
• Strong communication skills
• Patience and enthusiasm for working with children

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with both toddlers and preschool-aged children
• Background in early childhood education
• Knowledge of age-appropriate activities and developmental milestones
• CPR and First Aid certification

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a 1 hour break
• Total of 35 hours per week
• Schedules may vary slightly week to week

Job Type: Contract

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 35 per week
