Backend Developer

At Orion Innovation Turkey, we build scalable, secure and high-performance software solutions. Our teams collaborate with colleagues across different countries, creating impactful products in a truly global environment.

What are we doing?

Currently, we are working on a telecommunications testing product and developing a wrapper layer on top of it to enhance usability and integration. This includes building API services and supporting backend components that allow seamless interaction with the testing product, ensuring scalability, flexibility, and high performance. As part of our team, you will contribute to designing and implementing these backend services.

While your first focus will be on this product, there may be opportunities to contribute to other projects in the future as our portfolio evolves.

Our tech stack:

• Languages & Frameworks: Java, Spring Boot, Python, FastAPI, Celery
• Databases: MySQL, Redis, influxDB
• Infrastructure: Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, Bash Scripting, Ansible
• CI/CD & Version Control: GitLab CI/CD, Git
• Observability & Monitoring: ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Filebeat, Grafana, Prometheus
• Testing & Performance: JMeter, Selenium

What will you do in an Agile team?

• Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services.
• Build and maintain REST APIs.
• Work with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized deployments.
• Use observability and monitoring tools to ensure system health.
• Flexible to provide occasional support outside regular working hours due to international collaboration and time zone differences, ensuring critical issues can be addressed promptly
• Perform performance and load testing with JMeter.
• Actively participate in the full software development lifecycle.
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices.
• Prepare technical documentation and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

What we expect from you?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 1–3 years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Java and Python.
• Strong knowledge of OOP & Docker.
• Hands-on experience with REST API development.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases.
• Good knowledge of Linux.
• Experience with design principles and patterns.
• Knowledge of networking and TCP/IP concepts, with tools like Wireshark.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

Nice to have:

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD and automation.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools (ELK Stack, Filebeat, Grafana, Prometheus).
• Knowledge of Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Agentic AI and Large Language Models
• Hands-on experience with performance testing (JMeter).
• Experience with frontend technologies (React, TypeScript).
• Understanding of modern microservices architectures.
