Backend Developer

Position Overview:
We are on the lookout for a talented Backend Developer to join our innovative engineering team, focused on building scalable, efficient backend systems in a high-energy, AI-driven environment. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience working with technologies like Node.js, Express, MongoDB, SQL, and Redis, and will thrive using Cursor and Claude Code to accelerate development workflows. This role requires someone who embraces modern AI-powered tools to streamline processes, from design to deployment, and who works well in a fast-paced culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js and Express for efficient API development.
• Leverage AI-driven development tools like Cursor and Claude Code to enhance code quality, optimize performance, and accelerate the development cycle.
• Design and implement robust, scalable RESTful APIs that integrate seamlessly with frontend applications built in React and Next.js.
• Architect and maintain databases using MySQL and MongoDB, focusing on scalability and performance optimization.
• Use Redis for caching and improving backend response times, especially in high-traffic systems.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to maintain CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud deployments on Azure.
• Ensure backend systems are secure, highly available, and capable of handling high volumes of traffic with minimal latency.
• Conduct code reviews and optimize backend services for performance and maintainability.
• Stay on top of industry trends in AI-assisted development and backend technology.

Required Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of professional experience in backend development, especially with Node.js, Express, and MongoDB.
• Hands-on experience using AI-powered development tools like Cursor and Claude Code to boost productivity and streamline development processes.
• Strong understanding of system design, scalable software architectures, and building high-performance backend services.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including schema design, query optimization, and data modeling.
• Proficiency in Redis for caching and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with API authentication standards like JWT and OAuth.
• Experience working with Git in a collaborative, agile development environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure for hosting and deploying backend services.
• Exposure to microservices-based architecture and event-driven systems.
• Experience with GraphQL or WebSockets for real-time data handling.
• Experience with AI/LLM-based applications or technologies that integrate AI into backend systems.
