Backend Developer (Python/Django) - Legal Tech

Key Responsibilities

• Backend Architecture: Design and maintain scalable server-side logic using Python and Django.
• API Development: Build and document RESTful APIs (Django REST Framework) that integrate seamlessly with our Lovable-generated frontend.
• AI Collaboration: Use Lovable to rapidly prototype frontend interfaces and bridge them with complex Python backend services.
• Database Management: Architect and optimize PostgreSQL databases to handle sensitive legal data and complex relationships.
• Legal Compliance: Implement rigorous security protocols and data encryption to meet UAE legal and data sovereignty standards.
• Integration: Connect the platform with third-party legal APIs, payment gateways (like Stripe or Telr), and AI models (OpenAI/Anthropic).

Skills Technical Requirements

• Core Backend: 3+ years of professional experience with Python and Django.
• Frontend-Lite: Proven experience using Lovable (or similar AI builders like v0/UI Bakery) to generate and iterate on React-based frontends.
• Database: Expertise in PostgreSQL and Django ORM.
• DevOps: Familiarity with Docker, GitHub Actions, and deploying on cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Legal Focus: Understanding of document parsing (PDF/Word), OCR, or search indexing (Elasticsearch/Pinecone) is a massive plus.

Language & Soft Skills

• English: Professional fluency is required.
• Arabic (Optional but Highly Valued): Ability to understand Arabic legal terminology or handle Right-to-Left (RTL) UI requirements will put you at the top of our list.
