Backend Engineer

Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineer to join our Web Platform team within the Creative Cloud Business Unit. This role involves designing, developing, and delivering high-quality backend solutions that power Adobe.com, Learn, and related platforms. You will be responsible for technical solutions, writing and reviewing code, and ensuring seamless integration of backend services with web content management platforms.This position requires close collaboration with Product Owners, Architects, DevOps, and cross-functional teams in an Agile Scrum environment.Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Owners/Product Managers to capture business requirements.
• Design and deliver technical solutions, proof of concepts, and detailed designs.
• Write world-class backend code and automated unit tests, ensuring high-quality standards.
• Follow best development practices, perform code refactoring, and reduce technical debt.
• Deliver working software of the highest quality, meeting agreed timelines.
• Review code contributions of team members and provide feedback.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and fix product defects, including critical production issues.
• Foster innovation and propose improvements to systems and processes.
• Participate actively in Agile Scrum ceremonies, providing accurate estimates of user stories and tasks.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4–6 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong coding experience in backend and frontend technologies involving APIs and web-based applications.
• Hands-on experience building large-scale web applications integrating with backend services.
• Proficient in Node.js, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of OOPs concepts and functional programming fundamentals.
• Experience working on projects following Scrum or Agile development methodologies.
• Knowledge of web technologies (REST APIs, microservices, etc.).
• Exposure to Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) pipelines (nice to have).
• Experience with AWS or similar cloud hosting and CDN technologies like Akamai (advantage).
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to self-manage workload, multitask, and meet deadlines.
• Education: Graduation or Post-Graduation in Computer Science/Engineering (or related field).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹2,000,000.00 - ₹2,200,000.00 per year
