Backend Engineer (Python/Django + AI Integration)

About the Role

We are looking for a Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Python and Django to build scalable, AI-powered web applications. This role focuses on backend architecture, API development, AI/ML model integration, and Docker-based deployments.

You will work on SaaS platforms, automation systems, and intelligent applications involving chatbots, recommendation engines, and data-driven decision systems.

Core Technical Requirements (Must-Have Skills)

· Strong proficiency in Python

· Hands-on experience with Django / Django REST Framework

· Experience designing and building RESTful APIs

· Working knowledge of PostgreSQL or MySQL

· Experience with Docker (containerization & deployments)

· Understanding of production deployment workflows

· Familiarity with Git-based version control

AI / Machine Learning Exposure (Required)

· Experience integrating ML models into backend systems

· Familiarity with:

o TensorFlow / PyTorch / Scikit-learn

o OR AI API integrations (OpenAI, Hugging Face, etc.)

· Understanding of model deployment concepts (inference APIs, optimization, scaling)

Cloud & DevOps (Preferred)

· Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure

· Basic understanding of:

o CI/CD pipelines

o Server configuration

o Nginx / Gunicorn

o Background task queues (Celery, Redis)

Frontend (Bonus – Not Mandatory)

· Familiarity with React.js or Next.js

· Ability to collaborate effectively with frontend developers

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and maintain scalable backend systems using Django

· Design secure, well-documented REST APIs

· Integrate AI/ML models into production environments

· Containerize applications using Docker

· Optimize performance, database queries, and system architecture

· Collaborate with frontend, AI, and DevOps teams

· Follow clean code principles and security best practices

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs100,000.00 - Rs175,000.00 per month
