Backend (Magento) Developer

About Us:

Home Done is a leading UK-based online retailer specializing in home and garden products. We are currently looking for an experienced Magento Backend Developer to join our team in Karachi. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in backend development, with a proven track record of working with Magento in a tech or e-commerce environment. This role requires a strong background in building and maintaining scalable eCommerce platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize backend functionality of Magento-based platforms.
• Customize and extend Magento features to meet business requirements.
• Work on database design, API integrations, and server-side performance tuning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and backend issues.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, and stakeholders for smooth feature rollout.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security best practices, and documentation.
• Manage module upgrades, patches, and third-party extensions.
• Daily reporting of tasks.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of backend development experience, including extensive work with Magento.
• Strong command of PHP and MySQL.
• Familiar with Magento architecture, module development, and customization.
• Hands-on experience with API integration (REST/SOAP).
• Experience using version control systems like Git.
• Good understanding of server configuration and deployment processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Location: DHA, Phase V, Karachi (This can be a Hybrid role with three days in office and two days work-from-home)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 12:30 pm to 9:30 pm (PKT), + Alternate Saturdays: 12:30 pm to 7:30 pm (PKT)
