We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Background Screening Executive to support end-to-end background verification processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough checks on candidate credentials, ensuring timely and high-quality reporting. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to work under tight timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

· Review candidate-submitted consent forms, documents, and data for completeness and accuracy.

· Initiate background verification checks and perform primary verification for specified antecedents (employment, education, address, etc.

  • Validate employment history, education qualifications, address, criminal / legal records, professional references, and financial data (e.g., salary slips, PF/UAN/CIBIL)
  • Report Preparation & Documentation
  • Draft clear and actionable case reports with risk assessments, compliance notes, and recommendations

· Identify, raise, and resolve insufficiencies or discrepancies with candidates or external vendors in a timely manner.

· Compile and deliver final verification reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to Turnaround Time (TAT) standards.

· Maintain high quality and consistency across all reports and outputs.

· Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal teams, candidates, and verification partners.

· Leverage strong data analysis and problem-solving skills to resolve verification-related challenges effectively.

· Support vendor management activities, including coordination, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.

  • Coordinate with background-check vendors, conduct regular calls, validate invoices, and track SLA adherence.

· Work collaboratively in a team environment while meeting stringent deadlines and service delivery expectations.

Qualifications:

· 2-3 years of experience in background screening processes and documentation requirements.

· Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.

· Strong analytical thinking and ability to interpret and resolve inconsistencies in data.

· Effective communication and interpersonal skills to manage stakeholders and vendors.

· Proficiency in MS Office and comfort working with data systems/tools.

· Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
