Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Backhoe Loader Operator to operate and maintain backhoe loaders on construction, excavation, or landscaping sites. The operator will be responsible for digging, trenching, lifting, and loading materials efficiently while adhering to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate backhoe loaders for excavation, digging trenches, backfilling, grading, and loading materials.
• Inspect equipment daily to ensure it is in good working condition; perform minor maintenance and report major issues.
• Read and interpret site plans, blueprints, and instructions for excavation work.
• Ensure safe operation of the machinery in compliance with company and OSHA safety regulations.
• Assist in site preparation, including clearing debris, leveling surfaces, and removing obstructions.
• Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to coordinate tasks efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials handled.
• Keep worksite clean and organized, including proper storage of equipment and materials.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience operating a backhoe loader or similar heavy machinery.
• Valid driver’s license and any required operator certifications.
• Knowledge of excavation, trenching, and earth-moving operations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and site plans.
• Strong attention to safety procedures and protocols.
• Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
