Backhoe Operator

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Backhoe Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating backhoes and other heavy equipment to assist in various construction and excavation projects, and must have experience in underground utility installation. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation, safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Duties

• Operate backhoes and other heavy machinery
• Perform excavation tasks, including digging trenches and foundations for construction projects.
• Maintain equipment by performing regular inspections and basic repairs to ensure safe operation.
• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to meet project deadlines.
• Follow safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Build structures or assist in the construction of various projects as required.

Skills

• Proficient in heavy equipment operation with a focus on backhoe operation.
• Knowledge of excavation techniques and safety practices.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
