Backup and Linux Administrator - Qatar

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux servers (RHEL, Oracle, Linux, etc..).
• Perform OS patching, upgrades, kernel updates, and system hardening.
• Administer VMware infrastructure including ESXi hosts, vCenter, clusters, HA, and DRS.
• Provision and manage virtual machines, templates, snapshots, and migrations.
• Administer On-Prem Commvault backup infrastructure, backup jobs, retention policies, and restore operations.
• Manage Azure Backup and Recovery Services Vault for Azure workloads.
• Perform backup verification, disaster recovery testing, and restore drills.
• Monitor infrastructure health, storage, CPU, memory, and network performance.
• Automate routine administration tasks using scripts or automation tools.
• Maintain documentation, SOPs, and participate in incident response/on-call support.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 4–8+ years of relevant system administration experience.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Hands-on VMware vSphere / ESXi / vCenter experience.
• Strong knowledge of Commvault backup administration.
• Experience with Azure Backup and cloud recovery solutions.
• Knowledge of SAN, NAS, RAID, snapshots, and storage concepts.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, routing, firewall).

Preferred Certifications:

• RHCSA / RHCE
• VMware VCP
• Microsoft Azure (AZ-104 / AZ-305)
• Commvault Certification
