Backup Non-CDL Delivery Driver - ($23.50/hr+)

Purpose:

Non-CDL Drivers are responsible for safely transporting goods, conducting pre-trip inspections, securing cargo, and maintaining accurate delivery documentation. This role also includes loading and unloading materials, performing minor vehicle maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations while delivering excellent customer service.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 6am - 2:30pm (overtime as business requires).

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist warehouse operations while being readily available to take Non-CDL routes when a driver is not available.
• Inspect vehicles before operation and perform basic maintenance to ensure mechanical and safety readiness.
• Follow safety procedures while transporting goods, securing cargo properly, and checking load documentation for accuracy.
• Load and unload materials, wrap and protect goods, and assist with inventory and condition checks.
• Maintain accurate driving logs and vehicle service records in compliance with regulations.
• Obtain delivery receipts and communicate effectively with dispatch and supervisors.
• Perform minor roadside and in-route vehicle repairs as needed to ensure delivery completion.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be able to meet the minimum requirements established by Department of Transportation regulations including a satisfactory physical examination to obtain a medical card
