Bag Stitcher / Leather Bag Maker

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Bag Stitcher / Leather Bag Maker to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in bag manufacturing, stitching, and finishing with expertise in working with leather, synthetic materials, canvas, and other fabrics. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of stitching techniques to produce high-quality bags as per company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Stitching & Assembly
• Operate industrial sewing machines (flatbed, cylinder bed, post bed, overlock, etc.) for bag stitching.
• Stitch and assemble different types of bags (handbags, backpacks, travel bags, leather bags, etc.).
• Ensure accuracy in stitching, maintaining consistency, and adhering to design patterns.
• Work with leather, PU, canvas, nylon, polyester, and other bag-making materials.
• Production Support
• Assist in cutting, skiving, and preparing leather/fabric panels for stitching.
• Collaborate with cutting and finishing teams to ensure smooth workflow.
• Meet daily production targets without compromising on quality.
• Quality Control
• Inspect finished products for defects in stitching, alignment, or material handling.
• Ensure all products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
• Technical & Maintenance
• Maintain sewing machines, report any faults, and ensure regular upkeep.
• Suggest improvements in stitching techniques and production processes.

Requirements & Skills:

• Proven work experience in a bag manufacturing company .
• Strong expertise in stitching leather bags, fabric bags.
• Knowledge of different types of industrial sewing machines and tools.
• Ability to read and understand patterns, samples, and production specifications.
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
