Baggage Handler - Oman Airports Management Company

Government-owned company managing Muscat International Airport and Salalah Airport. It employs customer service agents for passenger support, information desks, and terminal assistance services.

A baggage handler (also called ramp agent) works mainly on the airport ground/tarmac handling luggage and cargo.

Main duties:

Load and unload luggage from aircraft

Transport baggage between terminal and airplane

Sort bags to correct flights and conveyor belts

Operate equipment (baggage carts, trolleys, conveyor systems)

Check tags and track luggage to avoid mistakes

Handle fragile or oversized baggage

Follow strict airport safety and security rules

Daily work tasks:

Lift bags (often 20–30 kg repeatedly)

Work outdoors (heat, noise, aircraft engines)

Work in shifts (day/night)

Meet tight flight deadlines

Requirements:

No degree required (entry-level job)

Physically fit (important)

Basic English communication

Willing to work shifts
