Baker and Pastry Chef

Applicants should have knowledge when it comes to Bakery & Pastry.

A Baker's key duties include preparing dough, mixing batters, creating new recipes or closely following existing ones, receiving special orders from customers, adhering to all food quality and workplace safety protocols, and ensuring timely completion of baked products.

A Pastry Chef , or Dessert Chef, bakes various desserts in a kitchen within a restaurant or bakery. Their main duties include following recipes to create pastries, cookies and other baked goods, developing new and unique recipes to feature on the menu and keeping stock of the kitchen’s inventory.

Responsible for preparing and planning of sweet items, pastries, cakes, ice creams, sorbets, fruit compotes, breads and chocolates for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as various specialty items for amenities and special functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Menu Development: Designing seasonal desserts, pastries, cakes, and special items.
  • Production: Preparing a wide variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and plated desserts.
  • Decoration: Decorating and presenting pastries to high aesthetic standards.
  • Inventory Management: Monitoring ingredient stock, placing orders, and managing costs within budget.
  • Food Safety: Strictly maintaining sanitation and food hygiene standards.
  • Leadership: Training, guiding, and supervising

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From QAR4,000.00 per month
