Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Baker+Pastry cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing artisanal breads along with high-quality desserts using traditional techniques, ensuring consistency, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare artisanal breads and desserts to perfection from scratch.
- Create and cook breads and desserts using traditional and modern techniques.
- Monitor oven temperatures and cooking times to achieve desired results.
- Knowledge of pre ferments, artisanal bread baking, stretch and folds.
- Know how to work with delicate desserts.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and used efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation following food safety regulations.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Baker/ Pastry cook.
- Familiarity with different bread baking procedures.
- Ability to work with high-temperature ovens.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Intermediate, Culinary training or hands-on experience of 2 years in bread/dessert making.
- Experience in a high-volume restaurant setting.
