We are looking for a skilled and creative Bakery & Pastry Chef to lead the preparation and production of high-quality baked goods and desserts. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking, strong technical expertise, and the ability to maintain consistency, quality, and presentation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and produce a wide range of bakery and pastry items including breads, cakes, pastries, desserts, and specialty items
- Develop and innovate new recipes, menus, and seasonal offerings
- Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of all products
- Monitor and control ingredient usage, food cost, and wastage
- Maintain proper inventory levels and coordinate with procurement for ordering supplies
- Supervise and train junior kitchen and bakery staff
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery and workstations
- Work closely with management to meet business goals and customer expectations
- Handle special orders, custom cakes, and event-based requirements
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Bakery or Pastry Chef in a hotel, bakery, or restaurant
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Creativity and attention to detail in presentation and design
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Good leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in high-volume production or luxury hospitality environments
Pay: QAR3,000.00 - QAR3,500.00 per month
