Bakery / Grocery Supervisor

Job Summary

The Bakery / Grocery Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the bakery and grocery sections, ensuring product quality, inventory control, staff supervision, and excellent customer service. The role ensures compliance with food safety standards and company policies while achieving sales and operational targets.

Key Responsibilities1. Operations Management

  • Supervise day-to-day bakery and grocery operations
  • Ensure proper display, stocking, and rotation of products (FIFO method)
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and store presentation standards
  • Monitor production schedules for bakery items

2. Inventory Control

  • Manage stock levels and minimize wastage
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations
  • Coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment
  • Ensure proper storage conditions (temperature-sensitive items)

3. Staff Supervision

  • Supervise and assign duties to bakery and grocery staff
  • Train employees on SOPs, hygiene, and customer service
  • Monitor attendance, discipline, and performance
  • Assist HR in performance evaluations and disciplinary actions

4. Customer Service

  • Ensure high standards of customer satisfaction
  • Handle customer complaints professionally
  • Maintain product knowledge to assist customers

5. Quality & Food Safety Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards
  • Monitor product freshness, expiry dates, and labeling
  • Implement hygiene and sanitation practices
  • Coordinate with quality assurance teams

6. Sales & Reporting

  • Monitor daily sales and achieve section targets
  • Prepare daily/weekly sales and stock reports
  • Identify slow-moving and fast-moving items
  • Suggest promotions and discounts to increase sales

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum Intermediate / Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5–10 years of experience in retail, bakery, or grocery operations
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs45,000.00 - Rs100,000.00 per month
