Job Summary
The Bakery Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end operations of the bakery manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient production, high product quality, compliance with food safety standards, cost control, and on-time delivery. The role involves managing production teams, optimizing processes, maintaining equipment performance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production & Operations Management
- Plan, organize, and supervise daily bakery production activities.
- Ensure production targets are achieved in line with demand forecasts.
- Monitor production efficiency, yield, waste control, and downtime.
- Optimize workflow, manpower allocation, and production scheduling.
2. Quality & Food Safety Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with food safety standards.
- Maintain consistent product quality and adherence to recipes/specifications.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams to manage audits, inspections, and certifications.
- Investigate and resolve quality deviations and customer complaints.
3. Team Leadership & Workforce Management
- Lead and manage supervisors, line leaders, and production staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and training programs.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and labor regulations.
4. Cost Control & Budget Management
- Control manufacturing costs including raw materials, labor, and utilities.
- Monitor inventory levels to reduce waste and prevent shortages.
- Participate in budgeting and cost optimization initiatives.
5. Maintenance & Equipment Management
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of bakery equipment.
- Minimize downtime and ensure operational readiness of machinery.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for upgrades and improvements.
6. Supply Chain & Coordination
- Coordinate with procurement for raw material availability.
- Work closely with sales and planning teams to meet demand requirements.
- Ensure timely dispatch and distribution coordination.
7. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Ensure workplace safety standards are maintained.
- Conduct risk assessments and enforce safe working practices.
- Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 15–20 years of experience in bakery or food manufacturing.
- At least 3–5 years in a managerial role within a factory environment.
Other Details :
- Salary is up to 35K.
- Nationality : Any Arab nationality.
- Arab candidate outside KSA can be an option with previous experience in KSA.
