Duration: full school year (no summers)

Schedule: afternoons and evenings

Duties

• Develop comprehensive ballet lesson plans tailored to different age groups and skill levels, incorporating curriculum development best practices
• Lead engaging ballet classes that emphasize proper technique, posture, and artistic expression
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, respectful, and motivating environment for all students
• Provide individualized tutoring and feedback to help students improve their dancing skills and build confidence
• Organize student performances or showcases to celebrate progress and encourage stage presence
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, or adult learners to track progress and set achievable goals
• Communicate with the program director regularly

Requirements

• Proven experience teaching ballet or other dance forms in classroom settings with children or adults
• Strong knowledge of ballet techniques, choreography, and curriculum development methods
• Excellent classroom management skills to maintain discipline while fostering creativity
• Experience working with children, preschoolers, or individuals with special education needs is preferred
• Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate childhood development principles and behavior management strategies
• Familiarity with theater arts, early childhood education, or preschool experience is a plus
• Positive attitude, reliable, and team oriented
