Bank Teller/Clerk

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Bank Teller to join our team in San Diego, California. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to enhance customer service skills while managing essential banking operations. As a Bank Teller, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth and accurate transactions while fostering positive relationships with clients.

Responsibilities:
• Process daily transactions including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and wire transfers with accuracy and efficiency.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving account discrepancies, and building rapport with clients.
• Educate customers on available banking products, services, and promotions to meet their financial needs.
• Maintain accurate transaction records and generate reports using banking software.
• Balance cash drawers daily and investigate any discrepancies to ensure proper reconciliation.
• Prepare and organize cash and coin deposits for secure storage in the vault.
• Follow security protocols and compliance regulations when handling sensitive account information and cash.
• Ensure the workstation is clean, organized, and presents a neat and orderly appearance.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain operational efficiency and uphold service standards.
• High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a bank teller or in a similar role.
• Proven experience in cash handling and customer-facing positions.
• Adherence to banking regulations is required.
• Strong communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in basic mathematics and familiarity with standard computer software.
• Ability to recommend relevant banking products and services.
• Detail-oriented and customer-focused approach to represent the bank positively.
