Job Requirement
-
Any full-time graduate (10+2+3) with
2–6 years of experience
in cheque processing, item processing, and ACH operations for US banks.
Skills

Basic understanding of
accounting principles

Knowledge in
Cheque processing & Item Processing activities
for US Banks (preferred)

Data Key Entry Specialist
responsible for inputting remittance data received from customers into processing platforms
-
Strong computer/data entry skills (alpha and numeric) to meet stringent deadlines
-
Ability to read detailed customer instructions and adhere to various processing requests from simple to complex
-
Input cheque & remittance data for various remittance processing customers using multiple platforms
-
Good knowledge in
Exception Management & Technical Validation in Cheques

Understanding of data entry & exception handling such as:

Check Keying | Data Entry | CAR vs LAR | Balancing | Payee Name Review | Fraud Checks | Signature Verification | Duplicate Checks | Liquidity Check & Account Review | MICR Repair | Supplemental Keying | Deposit Slip Entry

Understanding of
Suspense Reconciliation, Investigation/Query Management, Adjustments, Return Handling

Experience in
ACH Processing (US Market)

Manage dispute dishonors, returns, delete & reversals, DNE/Reclamation, WSUD, POA, batch balancing, risk limit breaches, GL outages

Experience in
ACH Compliance (US Market)
:

Review OFAC matches to determine true matches for escalation to FCRM/OFAC

Reporting and compliance checks
-
Compare and verify data capture and data represented on screen
-
Meet/exceed site productivity and quality standards within a timely manner
-
Make judgment calls regarding routine duties, refer non-routine situations to supervisors

Follow prescribed procedures and utilize data entry skills in various scenarios

Keying from machine-written and handwritten information
-
Ability to balance one payment to multiple items of detail and make informed decisions to avoid errors

Excellent customer service skills
Required Qualifications

Typing/Data entry skills (Numeric keying
5000+ keystrokes per hour
)

Familiarity with basic computer functions

Ready to work in
rotational shifts / flexible with US bank schedules

Excellent written communication
