Job Description

Implementation of centralized operations policy, procedures & system

Overall responsible for smooth operations of the unit by ensuring compliance of operational policies, procedures, applications, systems, databases and prudential regulations and others instructions/guidelines circulated from time to time.

Responsible for effective execution of all operational processes as per laid down procedures.

Assist in design, planning, and launch of related projects.  Responsible for execution of bank’s future imitative and play active role for implementation.

Maintain strong coordination and liaison with reportees to ensure effective discharge of their duties.

Operational Processes & Control

Responsible for updation of Deposit rate / SOC/ in CBS on timely manner.

Responsible for centralized cheque book management.

Responsible for centralized control on activation of dormant accounts as & when requested by the branch as per SOP.

Responsible for centralized block /unblock / freeze / unfreeze marking on request of branch / competent authority as & when required.

Responsible for issuance of unique identifier values against unregistered entities as per bank’s policy.

Responsible for centralized maintenance of loan (Tenure amendment / Installment frequency amendment).

Responsible for centralized Zakat deduction process run, coordination for deposit of deducted Zakat into SBP / NBP;

Responsible for maintenance of updated Bank’s authorized signature portal.

Responsible for centralized issuance / prematurity of TDR’s on behalf of branches.

Responsible for timely and accurately posting of profit adjustment transactions related to encashed TDRs as per policy.

Responsible for centralized maintenance of Special rate input on TDR’s & MCM accounts.

Any additional task of CPU as decided line manager or HBO from time to time.

Establishing productivity & efficiency benchmarks and Resource Management

Maintain day to day discipline at the CPU functions as per approved policies & procedures of the bank.

Ensure execution of processes within the defined TAT by Head Office from time to time.

Ensure to handle all branches' requests and queries with professional courtesy.

Assess the training needs of the staff and coordinate for imparting trainings for achieving high service standards.

Check and validation of all activities perform by CPU-NIFT staff.

Maintain productivity and efficiency for improved performance of the unit as per management expectation.

Record keeping /Data archiving

Keep proper records of reports/correspondence ensuring safe custody and maintain day to day discipline as per approved policies & procedures of the bank;

Responsible to maintain and keep data safely in the form of archiving emails/documents/hard copies etc (as per approved policy).

Policy Compliance & Audit Rating

Ensure to build a compliance culture through adherence to Prudential Regulations, applicable laws and banks on policy / procedures.

Audit rating at least "Satisfactory" of the branch.

Timely rectification of observations i.e. SBP, Internal & external Audit reports.

Coordination with external/SBP and internal auditors

Job Specification

1 to 2 years’ experience of banking operations, operations /controls review in banking sector / service industry.

Graduate while preferable MBA or Masters in Management Sciences, M.Com, M.Sc. Economics from HEC recognized.

Knowledge / Skills:

Strong work flow knowledge of core banking and operations.

Strong inter-personal skills and able to work under stress conditions.

Negotiator, self-starter, assertive, team-player, highly punctual and able to resolve conflicts without compromising on job objectives.

Well versed with prudential regulations, sector and market niche.

Strong oral, presentation skills and written communication skills.

Strong PC skills including word processing, advanced spread sheet capabilities and well versed with core banking system.

Strong analytical skills, has ability to design controls and monitoring system
