This top law firm is seeking a Bankruptcy Associate for their creditor focused bankruptcy practice which includes representation of secured creditors, indenture trustees, claims traders, landlords, asset acquirers, and others.

This Firm’s Bankruptcy, Reorganization + Creditors’ Rights Group provides its clients with bespoke legal solutions in the most sophisticated and complex bankruptcies and reorganizations throughout the world. As trusted advisors and formidable advocates, they assist creditors, investors, and fiduciaries in connection with distressed companies, financially troubled entities, underperforming loans or investments and evaluate in- and out-of￾court options while consistently representing clients when bankruptcy or insolvency proceedings ensue. With client goals always driving their strategy, they work strategically and efficiently to anticipate and mitigate the impact of bankruptcy on their clients and their businesses while maximizing value through cost-effective

solutions.


Their experienced team, which consistently provides innovative legal solutions in a full range of bankruptcy, financing, and insolvency proceedings, is often called upon to play pivotal roles in the most complex and high￾profile bankruptcies and reorganizations. Their vast expertise includes cases involving mortgage-backed securities and collateralized debt obligations for banks, private equity firms, and hedge funds and asserting the interests of lenders and creditors in real property foreclosure proceedings.


Responsibilities:

  • Legal writing and research
  • Preparation of pleadings and other documentation
  • Participation in discovery proceedings and court hearings, as necessary
  • Involvement in a wide range of matters, with an opportunity to take on significant responsibility


Requirements:

  • Excellent professional and academic credentials
  • 2024 or 2025 law school graduate (high GPA/top law school)
  • Relevant law firm experience
  • Strong legal writing and research experience
  • NY State Bar admission, required, or pending for recent 2025 law school graduates.


Compensation & Benefits:

  • $195,000 to $205,000/year -- The salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include, but are not limited to, years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc.
