The Role:

We are in search of a Bankruptcy Administrative Assistant that will assist on the Bankruptcy team with applicable matters. This is a fully remote position, but candidates must be a resident in one of the following: AZ, FL, GA, NC, NJ, NY, OH, PR, SC, TX, UT, or VA.

Responsibilities

  • Perform various operational tasks in an expeditious and accurate manner.
  • Work closely with large servicer clients in Chapter 7, 11 & 13 bankruptcy matters.
  • Work closely with attorneys to meet the needs and requirements of the courts and our clients.
  • Monitor and complete daily task list.
  • Review and analyze PACER and documents such as bankruptcy plans and notice of final cures.
  • Prepare bankruptcy documents such as proof of claims, payment change notices, transfer of claims, post-petition fee notices, motions for relief from stay, agreed orders, objections, and responses.
  • Review of payment histories and trustee ledgers.
  • Electronic filing with the bankruptcy courts.
  • Request and submission of billing.
  • Maintaining and updating clients within their various systems and directly via email.
  • Perform requests, submission, and related processing of incoming and outgoing data and/or documentation
  • Perform liaison activities between our firm/attorneys, clients, intra-office personnel, and/or 3rd parties

Skills

  • One (1) year of bankruptcy experience with one year of additional creditor-rights experience or two (2) years of bankruptcy experience required.
  • Bankruptcy experience with lenders and mortgage services preferred.
  • Experience with payment ledgers is a plus.
  • General knowledge of the bankruptcy process.
  • Knowledge of PACER and ECF systems required.
  • Experience with client internal systems used in default servicing preferred.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Polished and professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detailed oriented with commitment to excellence.
  • Ability to perform work quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work as needed.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Ability to take, maintain, and reference notes and templates.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, such as Outlook, Word, and Excel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
