Thank you for your interest. Please read this carefully. If you don’t already handle bankruptcy work in Florida, this isn’t your posting.
We are one of the busiest consumer bankruptcy firms in the Middle District of Florida and we’re opening a slot for an experienced paralegal who wants flexibility. This role can be full-time, part-time, hybrid, or mostly-remote for the right person. But you must be located in Florida. No exceptions. Middle District experience is a major plus.
If you currently work for a firm and want additional steady work on the side, or you’re looking for a long-term home with more autonomy and better pay, this is worth exploring. We’re open to structured “moonlighting” arrangements as long as there are no conflicts.
Requirements (Non-negotiable):
- Minimum 3 years of recent substantive consumer bankruptcy experience (Ch. 7 and/or Ch. 13) preferably within the last 3 to 5 years.
- You understand Middle District procedures, local trustees, BK judges, timelines, and the rhythm of actual case management
- BestCase experience required
- Ability to manage cases independently from intake through discharge
- Solid working knowledge of reaffirmations, lien avoidance motions, Ch. 13 plans, loan mod portals, claims review, etc.
- Must reside in Florida
- Professionalism, precision, and reliability
What we offer:
- Highly competitive compensation; we pay experienced people what they’re worth
- Part-time or full-time options
- Remote or hybrid flexibility (again, Florida residents only)
- Independence to manage your caseload without micromanagement
- 80% paid health insurance
- Dental coverage
- 100% 401(k) match
- PTO
- A stable, high-volume practice that takes care of its people
- Confidential application process. Applications go directly to the attorney/owner and no prior employers will be contacted until we agree to move forward.
Ideal candidates include:
- Current bankruptcy paralegals looking for a better firm, better pay, or better leadership
- Paralegals at other firms who want additional hours on the side without drama
- Experienced Middle District BK pros tired of being underpaid or undervalued
- People who already know the trustees, calendars, and systems and want to work with a team that actually respects competence
If you’re confident in your bankruptcy skills and want flexibility, stability, and a real paycheck to match your experience, send your resume. Thank you for your consideration.
