Banquet Bartender

Position Summary:

The Banquet Bartender is responsible for setting up, preparing, and serving beverages to guests at banquet events in a courteous and efficient manner. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and break down the bar area according to banquet event orders (BEOs).
• Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages responsibly.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items and beverage offerings, including specialty cocktails.
• Monitor guest alcohol consumption and comply with legal and company guidelines.
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and maintain accurate tabs when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area throughout the event.
• Restock supplies and assist in inventory control.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and alcohol service policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with banquet servers, kitchen staff, and event coordinators.
• Provide excellent customer service to enhance the guest experience.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of bartending experience, preferably in banquet or event settings.
• Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol) preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Knowledge of state and local alcohol laws and regulations.

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced, team-oriented event environment.
• May be exposed to loud music and crowded areas.
• Work may take place indoors and occasionally outdoors.
