Banquet Bartender
Reports to: Banquet Manager, Supervisor, and/or Banquet Captain

Job Summary:
The Banquet Bartender serves a variety of beverages to banquet event guests in a friendly, upbeat, and timely manner.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar, stocking all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, and produce based on projections from the function sheet.
- Understands Banquet Event Orders, including start time and beverage requirements.
- Responsible for stocking, cutting, and storing all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables to ensure product quality.
- Mixes, garnishes, and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control.
- Inputs orders into a register at the point of sale, including those served by other servers, to maintain accountability of all beverages served.
- Receives cash from guests, makes any change needed, verifies the validity of charges, records charges, and ensures vouchers are properly executed in order to balance all monies.
- Responsible for sanitation in and around the bar area.
- Locks up and stores all beverages, food, and other equipment items, deposits cash drops, and secures the bank.
- After function, remove inventory and all beverage equipment to proper storage.
- Retrieve and store bar glassware in proper storage.
- Arrive at the scheduled start time dressed neatly, in uniform, and ready to work.
- Expediently communicate any challenges, guest complaints, or requests to the Banquet Captain or management.
- Observe all safety procedures during the execution of assigned duties.
- Work effectively and efficiently with the banquet team, maintaining a positive and professional attitude towards guests, co-workers, and management.
- Performs other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Basic mathematical and computer skills necessary to operate a cash register, total change, total guest checks, prepare cash drops, and understand portion sizes.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior bartending experience required.
- All Bartenders must successfully complete T.I.P.S. and/or ServSafe Alcohol training.
- Must adhere to all State, Federal, and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests to ensure all laws are being followed.
Physical Demands
- Ability to push, pull, or transport up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for prolonged periods of time.
