Banquet Server

Job Overview
The Holiday Inn Express & Suites-Latham, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Banquet Server to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences at various events, including weddings, corporate gatherings, and other special occasions. As a Banquet Server, you will be responsible for providing high-quality guest services while ensuring that all food and beverage offerings are presented beautifully and served efficiently.

Duties

• Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including table arrangements and decorations.
• Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist in the preparation of food items as needed, ensuring adherence to safety and hygiene standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas throughout the event.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries, providing excellent customer service.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and fellow servers to ensure smooth service operations.
• Clear tables and reset for the next course or event as necessary.
• Follow all food handling procedures to ensure guest safety.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of food handling practices within the food industry.
• Experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred.
• Excellent guest service skills with the ability to engage positively with patrons.
• Basic culinary skills for food preparation tasks are advantageous.
• Familiarity with coffee service and beverage presentation is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork mentality.
• Previous experience in banquet serving or related roles is beneficial but not required.
