Position Highlights

The University is looking for Banquet Server. The Banquet Service is part of the Catering team. You'll deliver exceptional service to guest during events and special occasions. Responsibilities include set up and breakdown of banquet spaces, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a seamless guest experience.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist with set up and breakdown of banquet rooms and event spaces as instructed.
  • Serve food and beverages as listed on the Banquet Event Order.
  • Make recommendations and answer questions for guests and clients.
  • Greet and serve every guest in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Ensure an excellent guest experience.
  • Ensure all food product is presented according to client expectations.
  • Apply food safety standards to prevent cross contamination or spoilage.
  • Provide suggestions and recommendations to captain and catering team as needed.
  • Assist with clean up and sanitation of all supplies and utensils.
  • Once sanitized, return all utensils and supplies are stored properly and kept in good working order.
  • Notify supervisor or any damaged supplies.
  • Actively work to resolve guest concerns when applicable and escalate to supervisor when necessary.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of food safety protocols.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with department managers, team members and guests.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report
In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University’s campuses. These reports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
