The Banquet Bartender plays a key role in delivering elevated beverage service in a fast-paced, event-driven environment. This position requires a polished and professional demeanor, strong knowledge of mixology, and a commitment to creating memorable guest experiences. The ideal candidate thrives in a team-oriented setting and upholds the highest standards of hospitality, service, and cleanliness.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Set up banquet bar stations according to event specifications and Southall standards, including proper stocking of all beverages, mixers, garnishes, and bar tools.
  • Greet guests with warmth and professionalism, take beverage orders, and prepare cocktails in accordance with standard recipes and portion control practices.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area throughout the event; follow “clean as you go” and teamwork policies.
  • Accurately follow all Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), ensuring that all beverage requirements are met.
  • Ensure all equipment and supplies are properly secured and accounted for after each shift, including cash handling and bar breakdown procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Banquet Captain and other team members to ensure seamless execution of events and respond promptly to guest needs or special requests.
  • Uphold health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, maintaining a clean and hazard-free work environment.
  • Polish glassware, prepare garnishes, and execute beverage service to Southall’s luxury standards.
  • Communicate any guest feedback, challenges, or inventory needs efficiently and professionally.
Requirements:


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and cocktail preparation
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Calm, diplomatic, and guest-focused under pressure
  • Professional appearance and courteous manner at all times
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
  • Knowledge of banquet operations and experience working in a luxury or Forbes-rated environment is a plus

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be T.I.P.S. certified or TABC Certification (or complete upon hire)
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
