What We're Looking For:
An experienced Banquet Server who is responsible for providing prompt, efficient, and courteous food and beverage service during banquet events, including weddings, conferences, and corporate functions. This role involves pre-setting, serving meals and drinks, clearing tables, and ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction. The Banquet Server works closely with the banquet team to ensure the smooth execution of events and adherence to service standards.

What You'll Do:

Assist in setting up banquet rooms according to the Banquet Event Order (BEO), including arranging tables, chairs, linens, silverware, glassware, and other service items.

Ensure proper placement of all dining and service equipment, and that the event area is clean and well organized before guests arrive.

Greet guests as they arrive at the event and ensure they are seated comfortably.

Serve meals and beverages in a timely and professional manner, following the service sequence outlined by the Banquet Captain or Manager.

Refill beverages and attend to guest needs throughout the event.

Ensure food is served at the appropriate temperature and that presentation meets hotel standards.

Clear plates, glassware, and silverware promptly after each course is served and as guests finish their meals.

Reset tables for subsequent courses or events as needed.

Assist with the breakdown and cleanup of banquet spaces after events, ensuring the room is left in a clean and organized condition.

Provide attentive, friendly, and professional service to all guests, addressing their needs and special requests with a positive attitude.

Handle any guest complaints or issues discreetly and report them to the Banquet Captain or Manager as needed.

Work closely with the banquet team to coordinate service, ensuring that food and beverages are served according to the event timeline.

Communicate with kitchen staff regarding food service needs, special dietary requirements, and any changes to the menu or service flow.

Assist with setting up and maintaining buffets, food stations, or beverage stations as required by the event.
Your Qualifications Includes:
-
Two to four years' experience in a mid-high volume banquet operation within an up-scale, hotel or convention center banquet operation, preferred.

High School Diploma, or equivalent.

Ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift/pull/push 35 plus pounds regularly throughout the shift.

TIPS (or Local/State alcohol training equivalent) Certification required.

Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
