POSITION SUMMARY

Facilitate food service to guests. Clean tables, remove dirty dishes, soiled table linens; set tables; replenish supply of clean linens, silverware, glassware, and dishes; serve items such as water, condiments, and coffee to patrons as requested. Set-up and prepare banquet rooms for functions. This job is essential to each convention event.

Hiring for Part Time mostly evenings, weekends and holidays.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Responsible to set up of an event in accordance with the information provided on the BEO.
• Set tables with clean linens, condiments, or other supplies.
• Provide assistance to banquet manager in the serving of guests during banquet functions to ensure positive guest experience.
• Greet and welcome guests and respond to their requests in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Wipe tables or seats with dampened cloths and replace dirty tablecloths.
• Serve the beverage and food in the appropriate order and in tune with the expectation of the supervisor so as to ensure consistency throughout the banquet.
• Carry food, dishes, trays, or silverware from kitchens to banquet rooms.
• Scrape and stack dirty dishes and carry dishes and other tableware to kitchens for cleaning.
• Clean up spilled food or drink or broken dishes and remove empty bottles and trash.
• Replenish supplies at buffet tables or service bars.
• Responsible for the break down and clean up after an event.
• Follow Casino and department policies and procedures, including all safety and service procedures; adhere to the Prairie's Edge Chain of Command.
• All other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Less than high school education

Experience: No prior experience necessary

Computer Skills: Must be proficient in Micros POS system.

Certifications & Licenses: Must pass State and Federal background check and a pre-employment drug screening that includes THC testing.

Must complete TIPS certification within 60 days of hire. Must complete ServSafe certification within 60 days of hire.

Work Schedule: Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays and special events; varying shifts depending on customer need.
