Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bar. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality management and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills. This role requires a passion for providing excellent customer service while managing bar staff, inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Duties

  • Manage all aspects of bar operations, including staffing, inventory control, and customer service.
  • Train and develop bar staff in food handling, beverage preparation, and customer interaction.
  • Oversee cash handling procedures and ensure accurate POS transactions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in accordance with food safety standards.
  • Create and implement innovative drink menus that align with current trends in the food industry.
  • Monitor inventory levels and place orders as necessary to ensure availability of products.
  • Collaborate with kitchen management to coordinate food service for bar patrons.
  • Supervise staff during shifts, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct interviews and assist in hiring new team members to build a strong bar staff.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and high performance.

Skills

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or bar management within fast-paced environments such as quick service, casual dining, or fine dining establishments.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary experience to support menu development.
  • Excellent leadership abilities with experience in team management, training & development, and shift management.
  • Proficient in cash handling procedures and financial budgeting related to bar operations.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to create memorable guest experiences.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food production and handling.
  • Experience with supervising staff, conducting performance evaluations, and implementing training programs.
  • Knowledge of catering services and banquet operations is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to work 55 hours per week
  • Able to stand for the entire workday
  • Able to move about on foot to accomplish tasks. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently, or move in a constantly changing environment.
  • Maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
