Job Summary

The Bar Manager (Sports Bar) is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a high-energy sports bar, ensuring exceptional guest experience, efficient service delivery, and profitable operations. The role requires strong leadership, in-depth beverage knowledge, and the ability to manage a fast-paced environment during live sporting events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise daily sports bar operations, including service flow during peak hours and live events
  • Lead, train, and motivate bartenders and service staff to deliver outstanding guest service
  • Ensure high standards of beverage quality, presentation, and consistency
  • Develop beverage menus, promotions, and event-based offers aligned with major sports events
  • Monitor inventory, ordering, stock rotation, and wastage control
  • Manage bar cost, beverage cost, and revenue performance
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve complaints professionally and promptly
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health & safety, and hygiene standards
  • Coordinate with Kitchen, Security, and Engineering teams during events
  • Prepare reports, rosters, and performance evaluations

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management or related field
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in bar operations, preferably in a sports bar or high-volume outlet
  • Previous managerial or supervisory experience is essential
  • Strong knowledge of beverages, cocktails, draught systems, and bar equipment
  • Experience managing live sports events and promotions is an advantage
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including late nights, weekends, and public holidays
