Barista

The Barista is responsible for preparing high-quality coffee, tea, and cold beverages while ensuring an excellent customer experience. This role also includes assisting in menu development, testing new drink ideas, and maintaining consistency in recipes and presentation.

Key Responsibilities1. Beverage Preparation & Service

• Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages (coffee, tea, smoothies, and iced drinks).
• Follow standard recipes to maintain flavor consistency.
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met at all times.
• Provide quick and friendly service to all customers.

2. Menu Development

• Experiment with and develop new drink ideas based on customer preferences and trends.
• Test, document, and standardize new recipes.
• Support management in seasonal menu updates and cost control.
• Suggest creative drink presentations to enhance brand appeal.

3. Equipment & Inventory

• Calibrate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and blenders.
• Track ingredient levels, report shortages, and support inventory ordering.
• Handle ingredients and tools with care to minimize waste.

4. Customer Engagement

• Greet and engage customers warmly; recommend drinks and upsell combos.
• Collect customer feedback on new products.
• Represent the café’s personality and vibe in every interaction.

5. Team Support

• Work closely with other baristas and kitchen staff for smooth operations.
• Help train new staff on drink preparation standards and café policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of barista experience (preferably café environment).
• Basic knowledge of espresso-based drinks, iced beverages, and flavor balance.
• Some experience or interest in menu development and recipe testing.
• Good communication and time management skills.
