Location: Qureshi Group – Karachi

Reporting To: Branch Manager

1. Position Summary

The Barista will be responsible for preparing high-quality beverages and maintaining excellent customer service standards within the Qureshi Group café setup. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain cleanliness and operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Beverage Preparation & Service

• Prepare and serve a wide range of hot and cold beverages, including coffees, teas, smoothies, and signature drinks.
• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and beverage quality.
• Follow standard recipes and portion control guidelines.
• Provide recommendations to customers based on preferences.

B. Customer Experience

• Greet customers warmly and provide efficient, friendly service.
• Upsell beverages, snacks, and promotions professionally.
• Manage customer concerns politely and resolve basic issues on the spot.

C. Operations & Cleanliness

• Maintain cleanliness of the coffee bar, machines, utensils, and seating area at all times.
• Follow hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards as per QG guidelines.
• Support café inventory by restocking ingredients, cups, cutlery, and supplies.

E. Equipment Maintenance

• Operate machines, grinders, blenders, and other café equipment safely.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic troubleshooting.
• Report equipment issues promptly to the supervisor.

3. Required Qualifications

Education

• Minimum: Matric / Intermediate
• Preferred: Certification in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or Barista Training

Experience

• 1–2 years of experience as a Barista in café, restaurant, or hospitality industry.
• Experience in customer service or food & beverage service is a plus.

4. Skills & Competencies

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of basic coffee brewing and latte art (preferred)
• Ability to work under pressure and multitask
• Basic understanding of hygiene and safety standards
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Reliable, punctual, and well-presented

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs40,000.00 - Rs50,000.00 per month
