Location: Fox Point Farms (1150 Quail Gardens Drive, Encinitas, CA 92024)

Pay: $16.90/hour plus tips

Hours: 3 - 5 shifts a week, weekend availability required

Overview

We’re looking for an exceptional Barista with 3 - 5 years craft coffee experience, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and genuinely enjoys creating positive experiences for guests. You’ll be the friendly face behind the counter, ensuring each visitor leaves feeling welcomed, satisfied, and eager to return.

Key ResponsibilitiesBarista

• Prepare both hot and cold drinks—including espresso-based, drip, or tea—consistently following recipes and presentation standards
• Highlight the Harvest Cafe coffee and tea menu, including coffee varieties, milk alternatives and syrups.

Guest Service & FOH Operations

• Greet and engage guests with warmth and enthusiasm, creating an inviting atmosphere.
• Take orders accurately and efficiently at the café counter, maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail, all while moving at a rapid pace
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, including seasonal offerings and local goods.
• Assist in expo-ing food, pouring an array of beverages, and ensuring guests have an exceptional experience.
• Craft barista or beertending experience highly preferred
• Adhering to SOPs to ensure operations run smoothly.

Maintaining Visual Standards of the Market

• Keep the market and cafe looking clean, organized, and inviting at all times.
• Regularly restock produce, pantry items, and artisan goods, ensuring everything looks fresh and appealing.
• Ensure our produce looks pristine by pulling wilted produce and restocking new produce.

Outdoor Cleanliness & Property Care

• Take pride in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of outdoor spaces—sweeping, tidying, and ensuring the property reflects the beauty of Fox Point Farms.
• Monitor seating areas and farmstand spaces to maintain a welcoming environment for all guests

Skills

• Meticulous and precise in handling inventory, systems, and visual standards.
• Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain a well-ordered workspace.
• Genuine interest in supporting local farmers, artisans, and sustainable food practices.
• Previous experience in inventory management, retail operations, or a similar role preferred.
• Familiarity with Toast Retail or similar inventory management systems, or a willingness to learn.
• Warm, engaging, and able to communicate effectively with a diverse range of guests.
• : Creative eye for crafting displays that are both functional and visually appealing.
• Collaborative spirit with the ability to work independently when needed.
• Comfortable lifting up to 30 pounds and being on your feet for extended periods.
• : You show up on time, ready to work, and bring your best every shift.
