As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. You will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent service, product knowledge, and attention to detail. This position requires a passion for coffee and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and taking their orders accurately.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for processing transactions, handling cash, and managing payments.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee, food items, and supplies.
• Engage with customers to promote new products or specials and encourage repeat business.
• Handle customer inquiries or complaints professionally and efficiently to ensure satisfaction.

Skills

• Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell products effectively.
• Excellent customer service skills to create a positive experience for patrons.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
• Proficient in operating POS systems for efficient order processing.
• Experience with cash handling procedures to ensure accuracy in transactions.
• Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and an understanding of café operations is preferred.
• Familiarity with the food industry standards related to food handling and safety practices is beneficial.
