At chance’s coffee, our baristas are central to our success. We are looking for professionals who understand the fundamentals of specialty coffee, thrive in fast-paced environments, and hold themselves to a high standard behind the bar.

What You’ll Do

• Dial in espresso and maintain calibration throughout shifts
• Execute beverages with precision, consistency, and speed
• Prepare Vietnamese phin coffee, cold brew, matcha, and seasonal specialty drinks
• Prepare and assemble food items according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines
• Ensure food safety and cleanliness standards are upheld at all times
• Deliver elevated, attentive guest service
• Keep the bar and food prep areas clean, organized, and running smoothly
• Anticipate workflow needs during peak service
• Support daily operational tasks including opening/closing procedures, restocking, dishwashing, general coffeeshop upkeep
• Deliver exceptional hospitality by warmly welcoming and engaging guests

Desired Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years barista experience
• Comfortable dialing in espresso independently
• Strong understanding of extraction, milk texturing, and drink consistency
• Calm, focused, and efficient during high-volume periods
• High attention to detail
• Strong communication and accountability
• Ability to work independently without constant direction
• Professional demeanor and reliability
• Able to multitask without sacrificing quality
• Self-motivated and proactive
• Comfortable adapting in a growing small-business environment
• Knowledge of food handling and safety standards
• Genuine interest in learning about coffee varieties, brewing methods, and industry trends

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Minimum 3 days of availability per week
• At least 1 weekend day required
• Morning, weekend, and holiday availability expected
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with proper assistance
• Ability to comply with all health, safety, and hygiene standards
