Barista

We are a luxury coffee shop in Al Jimi, Al Ain, known for premium beans, refined ambiance, and exceptional guest experiences—and we are urgently hiring Junior Baristas to join our growing team.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience as a barista in the UAE, or a minimum of 2 years of experience in the home country or GCC.
• Must be able to perform the job responsibilities as outlined below.
• Willing to work in Al Ain.

Job Description:

• Prepare coffee and espresso-based beverages following standard recipes and brewing parameters.
• Accurately weigh coffee beans and ground coffee using digital scales to ensure consistency in taste and yield.
• Control and monitor grind size, extraction time, brew ratio, and water temperature as per café standards.
• Perform espresso calibration and dial-in at the start of each shift and during service as required.
• Properly tamp, dose, and distribute coffee grounds for optimal extraction.
• Steam milk to correct temperature and texture, including microfoam preparation.
• Use measuring tools (scales, jiggers, measuring cups) for syrups, sauces, and flavorings.
• Prepare manual brews (e.g., V60, French press, Aeropress, batch brew) if applicable.
• Maintain consistency in drink presentation and latte art, where required.
• Identify and troubleshoot basic issues with coffee equipment (under-extraction, over-extraction, channeling).
• Clean and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and brewing equipment according to SOPs.
