About the Job
We have a part-time Barista position open at our brand new cafe located at 66 Kearny Street in downtown San Francisco! This location is projected to open in late April, and we’re looking to build a team of people who are excited to be part of launching this new space. We are looking for people who enjoy creating memorable customer experiences in a high-volume environment. This role has a starting rate of $21 per hour, plus tips and benefits. What You’ll Do

• Working knowledge of the coffee menu, various brewing methods, and non-coffee drinks.
• Working knowledge of the food program, food preparation methods, ability to answer questions, and make customer accommodations regarding allergy information.
• Taking orders and operating the cash register, preparing and expediting drink and food orders.
• Maintaining total cleanliness of the cafe.
• Ensuring all food and drink items meet Andytown standards, only serving products you would be stoked to receive.
• Opening and Closing the store; following daily task lists, ensuring all equipment, surfaces, storage areas, floors, and windows are maintained and clean.
• Upholding health department standards.

Requirements

• Motivated to create memorable experiences for guests. At Andytown we believe that making genuine interactions with our customers is just as important as making delicious coffee.
• Commitment to honing your coffee skills and food knowledge.
• Ability to do repetitive work, including tamping espresso by hand.
• Comfortability working in a small space in close proximity to others in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift 25-50 pounds.
• Ability to stand up to 8+ hours every shift.
• Sometimes will need to bend, crouch, kneel, and reach over-head, to complete tasks.
