Barista

Position: Part-time Tea Barista (Charista)

Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Location: Marketplace at Ontario Center

Reports to: Store Manager

In this Barista role, you will:

• Prepare all drink orders to company standards
• Follow SOPs and preparation manual closely
• Learn and understand our menu so you can introduce new products and share tea insights with customers
• Provide excellent customer service
• Maintain a clean and organized working area
• Comply with health and safety regulations
• Efficiently operate POS and receive payment from customers accurately

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Be a Passionate tea lover
• Have excellent communications skills
• Fun personality that can add to the CHAGEE culture
• Be a fast learner and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
• Work well as part of a team with strong work ethic
• Be able to upsell/suggestive sell items or products to all customers
• Be willing to learn other responsibilities and ad-hoc assignments
• Be available to participate in company’s training and content creation when necessary
• Barista experience: 1 year (preferred)
• Food Handler's Permit Needed (Company can assist)
• Ability to read and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays

Essential Physical Requirements:

• Position requires prolonged periods of standing/walking around store or department
• May involve reaching, crouching, kneeling and stooping
• Frequent use of computers and other technology necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, cash register, and ability to process register transactions
• Frequently lift/move up to 25lbs
