About the Role
We are looking for friendly, dependable, and service-focused individuals to join our team as Baristas. In this role, you will help create the welcoming and fast-paced experience The Human Bean is known for while serving high quality drinks with genuine hospitality.

This is a hands-on position where everyone works together to keep the stand running smoothly. Baristas work alongside the Lead Barista and General Manager to prepare drinks, serve guests, and maintain a clean and positive environment.

This is a fast-paced drive-thru environment where teamwork, communication, and positive energy are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide warm, friendly service to every guest
• Prepare drinks accurately and consistently, with the bean on top
• Follow drink recipes and quality standards
• Help maintain fast and efficient service during busy periods
• Keep workstations clean and organized
• Restock cups, ingredients, and supplies as needed
• Support teammates during rushes and busy moments

Training

All baristas will complete approximately 40 hours of paid training over the course of three weeks prior to opening.

Training will take place locally in Cedar Park inside the fully built and equipped stand prior to opening. Training includes hands-on drink preparation, service standards, and operational procedures.

Learning will be thorough and structured and will include worksheets and knowledge checks to ensure every barista understands drink builds and standards before opening.

Compensation and Tips

Baristas are paid an hourly wage and also participate in the shared tip pool.

• Tips are pooled from guest transactions throughout the day
• Tips are distributed among the baristas working that day
• Distribution is based on the number of hours each person worked during the shift

Qualifications

• Prior barista or customer service experience preferred but not required
• Friendly and comfortable interacting with guests
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Flexible availability including mornings, weekends, and holidays
• Reliable morning availability is strongly preferred, as many shifts begin early

Pay: $16.00 per hour
