Barista

SUMMARY: The Barista contributes to carrying out the principles and mission of CupKates. The Barista must be passionate about serving others, providing great customer service, and have a positive attitude.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Makes and serves coffee, juice, and smoothies
• Makes sandwiches, salads, oatmeal, and parfaits
• Adheres to recipe and presentation guidelines
• Speaks and interacts with regular and new customers
• Maintains a clean and sanitized work station
• Maintains a clean dining area
• Follows health and safety guidelines
• Performs cash handling responsibilities
• Performs other asks as directed

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Education and work experience
• Must be at least 16 years old
• 1+ year(s) of customer service experience preferred
• Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
• Must be able to work during the morning or day time
• Must be able to deal professionally and tactfully with customers and co-workers at all times
• Must have good interpersonal communication skills
• Must work efficiently in a quick-paced working environment requiring multitasking and prioritization
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule
• Must be punctual, dependable and reliable
• Must be able to contribute to a positive team
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Job includes major amounts of standing, walking, reaching, hearing and talking
• Environmental conditions include a mild to loud noise level
